Sub-Accounts Guide

Sub-Accounts Guide

Sub-accounts allow you to create separate trading environments under your main ByteExchange account. Each sub-account has its own balances, orders, and trading history.

Use Cases

  • Separate strategies — Run different trading strategies without mixing funds.
  • Team management — Give team members access to specific sub-accounts.
  • Portfolio segmentation — Organize holdings by purpose (long-term, trading, etc.).
  • Bot isolation — Assign different trading bots to different sub-accounts.

Creating a Sub-Account

  1. Go to Settings > Sub-Accounts.
  2. Click Create Sub-Account.
  3. Enter a name for the sub-account.
  4. Set permissions (trading, viewing, transferring).
  5. Optionally create API keys specific to this sub-account.
  6. Click Create.

Transferring Funds

You can transfer funds between your main account and sub-accounts instantly and for free:

  1. Go to Wallet > Transfer.
  2. Select the From and To accounts.
  3. Choose the asset and enter the amount.
  4. Confirm the transfer.
Internal transfers between your accounts are always free and instant.
