Sub-Accounts Guide
Sub-accounts allow you to create separate trading environments under your main ByteExchange account. Each sub-account has its own balances, orders, and trading history.
Use Cases
- Separate strategies — Run different trading strategies without mixing funds.
- Team management — Give team members access to specific sub-accounts.
- Portfolio segmentation — Organize holdings by purpose (long-term, trading, etc.).
- Bot isolation — Assign different trading bots to different sub-accounts.
Creating a Sub-Account
- Go to Settings > Sub-Accounts.
- Click Create Sub-Account.
- Enter a name for the sub-account.
- Set permissions (trading, viewing, transferring).
- Optionally create API keys specific to this sub-account.
- Click Create.
Transferring Funds
You can transfer funds between your main account and sub-accounts instantly and for free:
- Go to Wallet > Transfer.
- Select the From and To accounts.
- Choose the asset and enter the amount.
- Confirm the transfer.
Internal transfers between your accounts are always free and instant.
Sub-Account Limits

Managing Sub-Accounts

- Each sub-account can have its own API keys with independent permissions.
Important Notes
- Sub-accounts share the same KYC verification as the main account.
- Trading volume from all sub-accounts counts toward your VIP level.
- Withdrawal limits apply to the combined total across all accounts.
