Placing Your First Trade

Placing Your First Trade

Congratulations on funding your account! Here is how to place your first trade on ByteExchange.

Step 1 — Choose a Trading Pair

Navigate to the Trade page. Use the pair selector in the top-left to choose what you want to trade. For example:

  • BTC/USDT — Buy Bitcoin with USDT
  • ETH/BTC — Buy Ethereum with Bitcoin

Step 2 — Understand the Interface

The trading page has several key sections:

  • Chart — Price history and technical analysis tools
  • Order Book — Live buy and sell orders from other traders
  • Order Form — Where you place your orders
  • Trade History — Recent completed trades

Step 3 — Place a Market Order (Easiest)

A market order buys or sells at the current best available price.

  1. In the order form, select the Buy or Sell tab.
  2. Choose Market as the order type.
  3. Enter the amount you want to buy or sell.
  4. Review the estimated total.
  5. Click Buy or Sell to execute.
Market orders execute instantly but the exact price may vary slightly due to slippage.

Step 4 — Place a Limit Order (Recommended)

A limit order lets you set your own price.

  1. Select Limit as the order type.
  2. Enter your desired price.
  3. Enter the amount.
  4. Click Buy or Sell.

Your order will remain in the order book until the market reaches your price or you cancel it.

Tips for Beginners

  • Start with small amounts until you are comfortable.
  • Use limit orders to control the price you pay.
  • Check the fee preview before confirming your order.
  • Enable price alerts to monitor the market.
