Telegram Notifications
Telegram Notifications let you receive BEXC account events — deposits, withdrawals, trade fills, security alerts, and more — in real time through Telegram, as an alternative or companion to email and SMS. You can even receive your withdrawal OTP code via Telegram instead of SMS.
How it works
Account and trading notifications are delivered through @ByteExchangeTradeBot — the same official bot used for account linking and market commands. (BEXC also runs a separate Mini App bot, @BexcQuestBot, for the Byte Quest airdrop game — that one does not link your trading account.)
Once connected, each account event is checked against your notification preferences and fanned out across the channels you've enabled: email (always on as a security baseline), Telegram, the in-app notification center, push notifications, and SMS (reserved mainly for financial and security events). You control most of these per event type from Settings → Notifications — a small set of critical security events (like login alerts, withdrawal OTP, and 2FA changes) cannot be turned off, by design.
Steps — connecting Telegram
- Log in to your BEXC account.
- Go to Account → Settings → Security → Telegram.
- Click Connect. BEXC generates a secure, time-limited, one-time link.
- Tap the link — it opens @ByteExchangeTradeBot in Telegram. Confirm there (no manual code entry needed).
- Once linked, your Telegram status shows Connected, and you can trade and receive notifications/OTP through the bot.
- Go to Settings → Notifications to choose exactly which events you want delivered to Telegram.
Steps — disconnecting Telegram
- Go to Settings → Notifications (or Security → Telegram).
- Click Disconnect / Unlink Telegram.
- Confirm with 2FA if you have it enabled.
- The bot can no longer message you unless you reconnect. You can also send
/stopto the bot in Telegram to remove it from your chat list entirely.
Common questions
How do I connect Telegram to my account? Go to Settings → Security → Telegram → Connect, then tap the generated link to confirm inside @ByteExchangeTradeBot.
Which events can I get on Telegram? Deposits, withdrawals, trade fills, staking rewards, KYC updates, and security alerts, among others. Go to Settings → Notifications to toggle each event individually.
Can I get my withdrawal OTP through Telegram instead of SMS? Yes. If Telegram is connected, your withdrawal OTP is sent there (and via push, if enabled) instead of relying solely on SMS — useful if you don't have reliable SMS reception.
Why am I not receiving notifications? Check that Telegram shows as Connected in Settings, that you haven't muted the bot in Telegram, and that the relevant event toggle is switched on. Critical security events cannot be disabled and should always arrive.
How do I make sure I'm using the real bot and not a fake one? Only use links from BEXC's own site (bexc.io) or the official verification page — never a bot link sent to you by a stranger.
Security-critical events (login alerts, withdrawal OTP, 2FA changes) always fire and cannot be opted out of — this is a deliberate security floor, not a bug.
