Closing Your ByteExchange Account
You can close your account yourself, from inside the app — no support ticket needed.
Where to find it
- Sign in at bexc.io.
- Open Account -> Settings -> Security.
- Scroll to the Delete Account card (marked *Danger Zone*) and select Manage.
- Read the confirmation screen, tick the box, then enter your account password.
Your password is required as a final check. A signed-in session alone is never enough to close an account, so a stolen session cannot delete your data.
Two things to finish first
Deletion completes immediately once these are clear:
- Withdraw your balances. Any asset still in your account keeps it open, so
your funds are never lost in the process. Send everything out first, or convert it and withdraw.
- Cancel your open orders. Any open or partially filled order keeps the
account open. Cancel them from Orders -> Open Orders.
If either applies, the screen tells you which one, and you can finish it and come straight back.
What happens when it completes
- Your profile details — name, e-mail, phone, country, avatar — are replaced
with anonymous placeholders.
- Your identity documents and verification data are cleared.
- Every active session is signed out, on every device.
- You can no longer sign in with that e-mail address.
Your trade and transaction history is kept in an anonymised form. Exchanges are required to retain those records, and they can no longer be linked back to you.

Want a copy of your data first?
Request a data export before you close the account — it is available five times a day from the same Settings area, and it is much easier to do while the account is still open.
Requests per day
Account deletion can be requested once a day. If you hit that, try again the next day and it will go through.
