How is BEXC's price determined?

BEXC is exclusive to ByteExchange — no other venue lists it. That means we can't follow a third-party price oracle, and there's no arbitrage window to mirror. BEXC's price is created here, by us and by the people who trade it.

What sets the anchor

A fair-value anchor is curated by the BEXC team. This anchor reflects:

  • The fundamentals of the BEXC ecosystem
  • Active liquidity provided by the market-maker
  • Real demand pressure from the last 5 minutes of trades
  • BTC correlation (15% weighting — a +10% BTC day moves BEXC by at most 1.5% from this channel)
  • A regime-based volatility model (calm vs. trending markets behave differently)

Bounded movement — no spikes, no gaps

Every 500-millisecond tick can move the price at most 0.15%. Daily moves are capped by volume regime:

  • Calm days: up 2%, down 5%
  • High-volume days: up 5%, down 12%

These caps prevent panic cascades. A surprise rejection on a single sell can't take 8% out of price in five minutes.

How the market-maker fits in

The market-maker holds real BEXC and real USDT. It quotes both sides of the book every 500ms, widening spread when its inventory tilts too far one way, deepening the side that needs more buyers. It does not trade against itself. When you buy on Protected Pair, you can match the bot's asks or other users' asks. When you sell, the matching engine specifically routes you to other users first — the bot's bids are skipped.

Is this an AMM?

No. There's no x*y=k formula, no LP shares, no constant-product curve. The bot keeps inventory and writes orderbook levels — closer to a classical market-maker than to Uniswap. The advantage: real depth, real prices, real matching with real participants.

What does this mean for me?

  • Buy side: unrestricted. All order types, all TIFs.
  • Sell side: limit-only, post-only. Pick from Smart Trail, Alert Sell, or Standard Limit.
  • Price discovery: smooth, bounded, and anchored.
