Your address book stores withdrawal addresses you use often. A newly saved address becomes usable after a 24-hour security delay. Once your first withdrawal to it succeeds, it becomes trusted: withdrawals to it ask for the e-mail code and your fund password, and the authenticator code is skipped. The e-mail code is always asked.
Save an address
From the Withdraw screen:
- Go to Funds and open Withdraw.
- Pick the coin and network, then at Withdrawal Address switch to Address Book.
- Tap + Add New Address, enter a label (for example "My Ledger") and the wallet address.
- Tap Request Verification, enter the 6-digit code we e-mail you and tap Verify & Add.
After a withdrawal: when you send to an address you typed by hand, ByteExchange asks Save this address to your whitelist? Tap Yes, Add to Whitelist, add a label and confirm with the e-mailed code.
Addresses on networks that need a memo or tag are entered by hand at each withdrawal.
The 24-hour delay
A verified address shows Verified — usable for withdrawals in … with the time left. After 24 hours you can pick it from your address book. The delay gives you time to notice an address you did not add yourself.
How an address becomes trusted
| Stage | What you are asked at withdrawal |
|---|---|
| New, or saved less than 24 hours ago | E-mail code, authenticator code (if on) and fund password (if set) |
| After your first successful withdrawal to it | E-mail code and fund password; the authenticator code is skipped |
The authenticator code is skipped when another withdrawal key is in play. If the authenticator app is your only withdrawal key, it stays part of the flow so that every withdrawal uses at least one strong key. A fund password or a passkey gives you the shorter route.
When trust starts over
Some security changes return every saved address to "new", so the authenticator code is asked again until the next successful withdrawal:
- Changing or resetting your login password
- Changing your e-mail address
- Turning two-factor authentication off, or turning on a new authenticator app
- Removing a passkey
- A security reset done for you by BEXC Support, or a completed Master Key recovery
These changes also pause withdrawals for a while — see Why withdrawals are paused.
Send only to saved addresses
On the Withdraw screen you can turn on Send only to saved addresses. While it is on, withdrawals go only to your saved addresses once they are ready to use. To turn it off, enter your 2FA code, or request an e-mailed verification code if you have no authenticator app.
FAQ
Why is my saved address not available yet?
Every newly saved address waits 24 hours after verification. The address book shows the time left next to it.
Do I still need the e-mail code for a trusted address?
Yes. The e-mail verification code is asked at every withdrawal, to every address. Trust skips only the authenticator code.
Why is the authenticator code still asked for my trusted address?
Either the address has not had its first successful withdrawal yet, a recent security change reset its trust, or the authenticator app is your only withdrawal key. Adding a fund password or a passkey lets trusted addresses skip it.
Is the fund password skipped for trusted addresses?
No. If you set a fund password, it is asked at every withdrawal, whatever the address.
